Client Satisfaction

Client satisfaction is of foremost concern to us, and with this in mind we focus on a close working relationship with the client to ensure that their dreams are realized. As a design / build company we strive to have our designers actively involved in the construction process for the duration of the project to ensure that the designer's intent is achieved.

In terms of clientele, our focus is on residential design - we would rather work for a name and a face than a group that exists on paper and never actually gets involved or takes interest in what we are creating.

Environmental Sustainability

We strive to achieve environmental sustainability through both the design process and our practices on site during construction. We include in the design a means to keep all existing materials on site whenever possible to avoid filling landfills with the usable native materials. Wherever possible we implement the use of native plants in place of imported species and the use of local materials such as stone from nearby quarries or paving stones produced as near as possible, distributed by suppliers close to the site to minimize fuel consumption in shipping.

In construction there are unavoidable strains on the environment, such as fuel consumption for heavy machinery and trucking and supplies wrapped in wasteful packaging, therefore we want the impact we leave on the environment to be as minor as possible, and any area we can lessen this impact we intend to do so.

Company History

Founded in 2002 after owner/designer/foreman/labourer Nathan Stewart was frustrated with the lack of quality in workmanship and commitment to clients that he was finding with the companies he was working for. In his words: 'I was raised by a farmer-turned-construction worker, so from a very young age I had a strong work ethic instilled in me. I also worked for a local landscape construction company during my university years that did everything of the highest quality; the way it should be done. Then once I started working for companies outside of my hometown I noticed how much the quality of work dropped and how the focus shifted from the client to cutting corners in order to save a few dollars. It would wear on my concience.' Stewart set out to change all of this by re-instilling the values of his past into the modern work force.
